Characteristics of POM material
POM comes in white and black colors, with a complete range of specifications. It is a rod-shaped material with a density of 1.42. It can withstand heat and deformation in boiling water, and can be used between -40 ° C and 100 ° C. It is easy to deform during processing. The formed prototype is generally not disassembled. If disassembled, it can be connected to other components using pillars, screws, etc.
Performance of POM
The prototype made of POM material has good performance. The reason why gear shaped prototype models can be made is because it has good mechanical properties, flexible rotation, is not easy to break, can stretch for a certain distance, is easy to process and shape, is not easy to deform, wear-resistant, and has good lubrication performance. Handboard models of precision components can be made, such as gears for children's toy cars. The shape after machining and cutting is very good, and the surface is polished. After polishing, the appearance is better and the performance is better. The disadvantages of POM materials are poor acid resistance, UV resistance, flammability, and poor impact resistance.
